Independent Help Is Linked on Every Page
Every page of this site, this one included, carries links to five independent gambling-help organisations: BeGambleAware, Gamble Aware, Gambling Therapy, G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here, and NCPG. On this page they sit in the same help-link block that appears across the site. Each is an independent source of help.
These are the only outbound links on the site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows them. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout the site, including on the front page.
Simple Habits Keep Gambling in Proportion
- Decide the amount before you start. A figure chosen calmly holds up better than one chosen in the middle of a session, when wins and losses distort judgement.
- Treat that money as already spent. If you never expect it back, a loss does not feel like a debt you need to recover.
- Never chase a loss. Raising stakes to win money back increases the amount at risk without improving the odds.
- Keep borrowed money out of it. Credit or loans turn a short-term loss into repayments that last well beyond the session.
- Take breaks. Stepping away interrupts the momentum that keeps a session going longer than you planned.
- Involve someone else early. Once gambling stops feeling like entertainment, a trusted person can often see the change before you do.
Account Controls Live at the Destination, Not Here
Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion belong to an operator account. You arrange them inside your account at the destination. This site has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch a control on, check it or enforce it.
Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it. Any age check happens at the destination. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour.
